CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union interview questions

The interview process was typical for what I've come to expect. An initial phone interview that went well enough to warrant an in-person interview. I met with the HR Chief and who I assume was the VP of Member Services (or something like that position). The VP was warm yet professional. As noted in other reviews the HR Chief was downright cold, however I didn't let this deter me as I've worked successfully with personalities like hers for several years. I did well enough to be offered a position, at the salary that I requested. However my credit union career means more to me than just a salary. After the offer was extended, I asked about opportunities for personal development (ability to participate in MACUMA meetings, ability to attend sessions at the MD/DC CU League, and other things that would reasonably make me a better employee) and the offer was rescinded! That's right-- my desire to better myself for my future employer was somehow misconstrued as not being fully committed to the organization. While my ego was initially bruised, I'm glad that this terrible mentality was revealed to me before I made any long-term commitments, like moving closer to the credit union, etc. Good Luck!

Applied online via indeed. Received an email to schedule an interview on a Friday, which was then last minute moved to the Monday before Thanksgiving. Met with the branch manager and HR chief. The branch manager was very warm and insightful. The HR Chief, not so much. She came off as cold, somewhat rude and quite honestly changed my mind about wanting to explore this opportunity any further. A week after interviewing, I received an email asking to create a 5 slide training presentation. It was at this point I formally withdrew my application.
