Found the job on craigslist - overnight computer operator $9/hr. When I went to the interview I was given a basic demonstration on the job. It was straight to the point, you just cut lines of clips of commercials and that's it. I was then interviewed by the supervisor. Very mellow people. She asked very simple questions nothing unusual, and none of those moronic retail questions. I've been so used to retail and sales that I expect those crazy interpersonal psychological questions about your personality and just weird things like 'what do you like to do on your spare time' and you will be judged for it - or 'name a time when you went above and beyond' like we all somehow blast in to space. Well anyways, she thought because I mentioned my writing/research skills and with my busy retail store background I would grow bored of just cutting lines so she asked if I would like to be a 'master coder' which involves transcribing the commercials and entering them in the database at $10/hr. I then sent my resume to the HR manager, she called me in for a typing test and grammar test. You had to have 35 wpm or faster for the typing test and pass a 3 page basic grammar and common sense test (spelling, punctuation, use of words). After that she asked a little about my background, why I left my job etc. Nothing intimidating and no attitudes what so ever I thought they were very calm and passive, which makes the nervousness of an interview situation fade away. And I forgot to mention that the first interview took place I think on a Thursday, and the second took place Wednesday of the next week. Then there was a little bit of phone and email tag going on, and I was finally hired the next Wednesday after which was my first day working. So a total of 2 weeks.
