First there was a phone screen with a recruiter, then met with 4 members of team via Teams. I also completed a project for the team to show my quality of work for the position.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Condé Nast (Sharjah) in Apr 2023
Interview
Applied through LinkedIn and was contacted by HR weeks later. Got scheduled for a one-on-one, followed by an assessment, then a panel interview; HR/Talent promised to get back with updates but never did.
There is meant to be one more round of interview, but HR never responded (pretty much ghosted, which is a shame as I had to take the time to submit an assessment that takes 3 days, more or less). I would've understood if was only during the 1st interview round, but this is not the case.
The process was very quick during the initial rounds, but as they find other candidates that they are more interested in, the process becomes incredibly slow to non-existent.
Come to learn that they place great priority on existing Conde Nast employees who are shifting departments or getting promoted. They also put priority on candidates with publishing and editorial background, regardless of the role and despite you as a candidate having more experience (which is very important to know since it seems you will have more leverage by knowing someone at Conde Nast prior to applying).
