I applied through college or university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Country Meadows Retirement Communities (Leaders Heights, PA) in Feb 2013

Interview

Applied for the job at a college job fair and was immediately called in by an HR rep. After speaking with the HR rep, she took me to the supervisor of the floor that had a job opening and I also interviewed with her. The interview questions were very typical questions you would be asked for an entry level position. After the interview, I shadowed a fellow PCA. The next day the HR rep contacted me asking about the experience and I was hired.

Strengths and weaknesses, interest in healthcare, okay with working bodily fluids, career goals. I was asked a few situational questions about what would you do if a resident told you they were being abused, or what to do if a resident falls, etc.

Interview

Short phone interview, met in person with manager, toured and met some other workers and the residents. Beautiful facility! Everyone was very nice and welcoming. I was called the next day and offered a job and start after I work out my notice at my current job.
