I was contacted on LinkedIn by a third party recruiter, After meeting with Crowell & Moring's recruiter, I met with an Associate Director in the firm's technology department. This meeting went well, and the Associate Director was very nice and respectful. Next, I met with two engineers for a technical interview. While the technical exercise was very easy, I only had 20 minutes to complete a 10-step technical exercise, which is certainly not enough time, and they had me use Stackblitz, but Stackblitz does not have a console feature to review code, which was essential to debugging the test application. (This was especially ironic when one of the engineers had asked me how I go about debugging an issue.) One of the engineers was respectful and easy going, while the other one was scowling and short the entire time, as if he did not want to be there. Considering I would have had to work directly with him, I chalked my rejection up as a blessing.
