Basically was invited to interview for a marketing position, then told that everyone who is hired starts in the call center. Had I been told honestly that I would be interviewing for a call center position, I would not have accepted. I was given a tour of the center and it was filled with young professions (recent grads/young 20's by the looks of it) who were also promised "marketing" positions after their required (3 month minimum) stints as call center workers.
At one point interviewed with one of the owners (it's a family owned operation) and found her cold and rude. She couldn't be bothered to shake my hand and barely made eye contact.
RED FLAG: The parking lot was full when I arrived for my interview. The only spots open were reserved for management. Not knowing where to park, I parked in a spot reserved for a night manager (as it were the middle of the day). A manager came storming out of the warehouse and began chastising me/telling me off for parking in the managerial spot. When he stopped spitting words in my face I explained that I was here for an interview and the lot was full. He all of a sudden looked extremely flustered and started apologizing. He explained there was a separate lot around the corner that I could park in (not that I had anyway of knowing this). My best guess is that he assumed I was a call center employee (as I'm in my mid twenties, just like all the other call center employees). The fast that THIS is how he treated who he assumed to be an employee was a massive red flag.
