This is my very first time writing a review. I felt it was necessary to share because the interview experience with this company was the worst I’ve had. I was contacted via email with request for interview. I did a telephone interview and was told should I be considered for another interview I would be contacted. Immediately after the interview I received a "Microsoft EXCEL test" on a "Microsoft WORD" document. Which I immediately completed and returned. I was then contacted for an in-person interview.
Upon arriving at Crown Awards, I was given a Geography, Spelling and Literacy test to complete. After completion of these test (which is now the second set of testing). I sat through 30 minutes of panel interviewed by three individuals. After which I was told to remain in the conference room to meet with the CEO. I found this strange that a CEO actively taking part in lower level management interviews. Upon introducing himself he instructed me to complete an excel test on a computer already setup in the conference room. At this point I'm wondering what is going on, since this would be the third set of testing for this position. Nevertheless, I completed the test and proceed with the interview where I was only asked three questions and the interview was completed.
Why put potential employees, qualified individuals, through such rigorous testing process and don’t even bothered to let them know if they were not a good fit for the job? I don’t understand why so much testing is required to fill an accounting position, especially on individuals with accounting degrees and years of accounting experiences. I believe the overall interview process is lengthy and somewhat discriminating against migrant employees seeking employment in the United States of America. Why would an organization require an "Accounts Receivable Manager" to know the Geographical locations and the Capitals of different cities in the United States of America? Why is this a requirement for an accounting job? It's been months and I'm yet to hear anything from the human resources department.
