      Warehouse Staff Interview

      Apr 24, 2026
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      İzmir
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at DHL (İzmir) in Jul 2025

      Interview

The recruitment process was quite disappointing and unprofessional. I was invited for an interview at the Bornova/Izmir branch, but the experience was subpar from the start. I was kept waiting for nearly 30 minutes, only to have a 5-minute standing interview in the middle of the production area. The role involves heavy lifting and a constant night shift. Despite clearly stating that I had undergone open gallbladder surgery in the past—which makes heavy lifting physically risky—the interviewer showed no concern. Furthermore, the official's attitude toward customer satisfaction was alarming; they explicitly stated that damaged cargo products were 'not their problem.' Regarding compensation and benefits: the salary is about 33% above the minimum wage. There are very few perks other than a small bonus during religious holidays. There is no cafeteria; instead, they provide a meal card. However, since the work is on a night shift, finding a place to order food is nearly impossible, forcing employees to bring meals from home. The meal card can be used for grocery shopping elsewhere, which is the only slight advantage. Communication is non-existent. I followed up via message after the interview, but I never received a response. Moreover, I had work experience in this field. I would not recommend this workplace for those seeking a professional environment or physical safety.
