      Full Stack Developer Interview

      Jan 5, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      New Delhi
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Dimagi (New Delhi) in Oct 2021

      Interview

After completeing three rounds of taxing interview rounds, still no offer or specific feedback on why I was rejected. each round was approx 1.5 hours, and the second round lasting 2 hours. this is not even counting the screening round by the recruiter which was before all these tech rounds. In the end all I got was a generic rejection message with no specific reason to rejection, even this reply was given to me after 10 days had passed from the date of 3rd and final round. and moreoever the rejection was sent only when I asked for it. meaning they are ready to ghost candidates if they found better people. and not even bother sending a rejection. And guess what the rejection mail was , it was a standard rejection mail lacking any sort of specific feedback on why the candidate was rejected after evaluating them for 3 rounds over multitude of weeks. To The recruiter, please show some empathy to the candidate who was invested in this interview process for weeks and went through 6+ hours of coding and countless hours for its preparation. The least you can do is send the candidate a specific feedback on why they were rejected and how they can improve on their weak points. Its disappointing. please function with ethics, morals and basic courtesy to fellow humans. On the upside the developers who interviewed me were super nice and helpful. no complaints about them. And the company does advertise its salary ranges for the position they are hiring for, which is a refreshing thing to see in the industry where everyone asks for your current CTC but doesnt disclose their salary ranges just so that they can lowball you.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

3rd round - write a function for the game "2048" and unit tests for it. the question was tought and was made more tough by the interviewer by not explaining what the expectations are with the unit tests and what functionality of the game will be tested. 2nd round - what is the internet ? how does public private key cryptography works ? your experiences and what tech stack you have worked on ? coding question - read a input array, the input array consists of the days the store is open, and the times for each day. manipulate this array to show the output in a prettier/human readable format. 1st round - 2 coding questions on coderbyte platform. one was string and other was an array question.
