I applied to an Office Manager at this company in early May and was contacted by Megan P. on May 10th, via email, saying she wanted to meet with me to discuss the role.
She went on to ask for my availability and told me that her schedule was fairly flexible.
Given this was a Sunday, and I had happened to be checking my emails, I responded to her within a half hour with my availability for the next five days, which was very open.
Three days go by and not a word.
Given the role sounded appealing and technical mishaps sometimes result in people not getting emails, I decided to follow up and left a message just wanting to make sure they received my email.
Fast forward to today (the 19th) and there has still be no follow up.
Given we live in a world of technology where it takes so little effort to communicate like adult professionals, there's no excuse for a company to reach out and jerk around a potential candidate like that only to ghost them in the end.
If this is how they treat potential candidates, I shudder to think what their workplace culture is like.
