Ecotech Institute interview questions

Before I was hired, a friend and instructor at the school recommended me to the Dean and one of the Program Directors as a potential instructor. I was invited to speak at a career day forum, which was well received by the students. Several months later, I was asked to become a curriculum advisory board member. After attending an advisory board meeting, I was finally asked to apply for a teaching position. By this time, the next term was approaching rapidly, so the hiring process became rather rushed. The interview process was simple and straight forward, but the orientation process was affected by several problems and a bit harried. After I was hired, I was pleased to find abundant resources to help me prepare my lesson plans, but I was disappointed that I had to seek out most of the resources myself. Once I sought out the resources, though, the librarian, the Dean, the Program Director, and other teachers were very accommodating and helpful.

Received a call for an interview and the lady told me it was a group interview then I questioned that. She then said it was a panel interview not a group interview. Asked me my salary requirements. I went in for the interview to find out it was a group interview with 8 other applicants, I should have left since I have been to those interviews before. I stayed to check it out only to find out it was conducted very poorly and there were 5 Ecotech staff members there observing all of us, questions were vague, not professionally presented and I was embarrassed to be there. Group interviews are not fair to applicants, you're in a group of other applicants. All are nervous, being observed in every way, very low and cheap way for a company to pick who they are going to call for a 2nd interview. I never received a call or an email from interview. They didn't even have the courtesy to contact all applicants. Shows me they don't have or want to take out the time for applicants. Wasn't impressed, lied to and glad I didn't get hired.
