Conversational about past experiences and alignment with expectations for the role. Straightforward starts with a short call and final in-person interview to determine fit. Decent insights about the ongoing process and what to expect.

Question 1
How many candidates do you think you can place in a year?
About 2 weeks. Applied online, got a standard phone interview few days later. Was invited to an on-site interview the following week. Was notified the same day that the initial interviewer was no longer to make it, so I'd be interviewing with someone else. It ended up being two senior team members who had no professional experience in interviewing and just jumped in last minute. At the time, the position was advertised as an entry-level role and the initial phone interview made it seem like training was to be expected on the job with no experience required. The interview ended up being a series of roleplay cold calling scenarios instead of the expected entry-level type questions. While I appreciate them getting back to me with no offer, the email was worded pretty unprofessionally: "We're going to pass." Overall, messy experience even for a start-up.
