The company has a station in Niles that I live close to. Instead of interviewing me there, they made me drive almost 2 hours south to their Mokena station.
I walked in, told the person at the front desk why I was there, and then they ushered me into a meeting room and had me fill out some paperwork. Once I was done, I waited for the interviewer to return. Once he came back, he hardly asked me any questions other than information HR and management would need for me to start.
Afterwards, he told me I was hired and that I'd have to buy my own uniform. He DID NOT tell me that I would have to attend a 2-day orientation before I actually started work. I received a phone call the day of the orientation asking me where I was. Not a great way to start a new job.
