Talked to their recruiter, had to do very thorough written assessment that took many hours. Response was they didn't have time to provide feedback, even though it took hours to do.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ellis Porter (Troy, MI) in Dec 2025
Interview
There is a five-step process to their screening. The first of which is a grammar and reading comprehension test. I saw reviews that this was a hard test, and indeed it was. They will give multiple answers that are correct, but you need to choose which answer is correct within that context. I got notification that I did not pass the first test. This was surprising, because I passed both NALA certification exams on my first attempt, and those are not easy! I'm also an online instructor of Effective Communications courses. Normally, I analyze content pretty easily, and can also apply it to various situations. They don't tell you which questions you got wrong - it's just a pass or fail. I'm wondering why they are being so particular when the salary is fairly humble.

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Ellis Porter
Interview
Process was an intro call with the recruitment team, followed by another call with the team manager. Both people were perfectly pleasant and easy to speak with, and put you at ease.
However, I would not interview with this firm if you are expecting timely updates (or pretty much any updates, for that matter). It took nearly a month for anyone to follow up regarding my application, then another month after the second interview to be informed about not moving forward. I had already accepted another position by then, but there was no form of communication or explanation for the process and why it took so long to get a response or any updates. The rejection email was also very clearly canned language with no specific information or feedback. There are other places with better processes for their candidates. I’m sure it’s a great firm but the recruitment process is lacking.
