Energy Development interview questions

Interview was ok. But during the job offer, they gave me a title looking for me to get demoted. They offered me a title that is equivalent to my title since I was a fresh graduate. I have been working for almost a total of 8 years.

There were three interviews: 1.) HR - standard questions by HR to match my skill set with the business development group 2.) Department head - checked my client management skills 3.) Group head - checked my openness and ability to take on tasks outside of the scope of my department. Educational background is a plus.
