Rejected my test because I sent it after 3 working days and not on a weekend. What it boils down to is that the company wanted unpaid work over the weekend. (If I did badly, fine - I will accept that. But there was no feedback on the work itself).
A lot of startups are already using tech tests as unpaid work. Expecting experienced applicants (some of whom are still doing full-time work) to do it on non-working days is not just rude, but also exploitative.
On top of that, there was no personal contact with the hiring team. The entire process was cold and impersonal. They only sent an email to ask questions about yourself and to dump the data on you. No discussion or even information on the email of what the company was all about, their values, nor was there any information of what the hiring process looks like. It was very one-way.
This company needs to understand that the hiring process is a two-way street. Applicants are also interviewing you and looking at how well you treat them.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Enote in Jul 2020
Interview
They sent me an ETL task to return within 3 days. which I did. Confronting it with another candidate, the resulting query was right.
They said they would have let me know, but after 10 days of silence I asked for a feedback, and they said the query didn't fullfill their expectations, and that they were "not able to go into more detail regarding how to improve your solution".
I won't suggest to apply in this company.
