My first conversation with the recruiter went well, she had a lot of positive things to say about the company and culture. In my next meeting with the VP this person would be supporting, the entire interview involved her discussing the depths of her work. While informative about how Research And Development works, it took up the entire conversation. After spending a lot of time researching the company, there was no time left for me to ask the questions I prepared for. She said the next step would be with the 2 other VPs and the previous assistant (who already left the role for another department/team). A few days later I followed up with the recruiter and she forgot to tell me they had already moved forward with another candidate. This position was set to support three VPs of Research And Development who each had their own teams comprising of 10,20, 80 people under them. In my opinion the pay for this role certainly did not match this amount of support needed and it was also fully onsite. Not very competitive other than it's in a beautiful location. Company's mission is seemingly good (although some other Glassdoor reviewers state otherwise) but their interview process didn't give me as a candidate a fair opportunity to demonstrate what I could have brought to the table.
