      Structural Engineer Interview

      Aug 15, 2012
      Anonymous employee
      Los Angeles, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Exponent (Los Angeles, CA) in Sep 2008

      Interview

Interview time approximately 3 hours. Five people from different department ask general questions, project manager from structural department inquiries about specific engineering topics, different work experiences, etc. Last portion of interview allow the candidate to present something and to ask questions about the company, what the company expects from the candidate, etc. Very professional environment, employees are treated very well, good perks.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Some engineering questions about mechanical pumps and their usage in a manufacturing company (odd since I was applying for a civil engineering position)
