      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fetch in Feb 2025

      Interview

I applied online and got an invite to complete a take home project. I completed the take home project and then got invited for a technical interview. Based on other reviews, I expected to go over the take home project, however, the interview is really a bit of a combination between an initial screen and a technical interview. I wasn't prepared for screening questions and mostly expected a full on technical interview which is not the case. Overall, Fetch requires a lot of upfront investment before they take an interview. I wish it were a bit more traditional to just do a screen before having interviewers invest in a take-home, and I think it would set better expectations for first contact.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fetch in Nov 2024

      Interview

      1. Received an automated email with a take-home assignment. 2. Completed and submitted the assignment. 3. Got an automated rejection a few days later, even though the project worked perfectly and followed all instructions. The only indication it was tested came from GitHub views and my database logs. The process was disappointing. Their instructions mentioned three more interviews after the assignment, but I received no feedback or human interaction—just an automated rejection. It’s unfortunate, as I genuinely liked their app.
