Waste of time. Discrimination.
The hiring manager asked inappropriate questions about greencard, citizenship, and also some details about my status and work permit, and then his attitude and behavior were clear, that he is not interested anymore and he will more likely hire citizens than anyone also, even if your qualification/experience is competitive. He also did not give me time to ask him MY QUESTIONS.
If an applicant applies for your position, it is supposed that he is fully authorized to work for any employer. That should be enough for you to know as a hiring manager. There are no reasons to lie. You as a professional cannot ask things like that and make people answer you.
