Pros: Fast turnaround from initial conversation with external recruiter (who was great), to internal recruiter, and video interview with hiring manager who was transparent about the needs of the organisation and the role.
Cons: It was a bit of a rocky experience once speaking with internal team when the role and dept I was going into was described as quote "the fluffy stuff". It became very clear that not only is this a sales-driven organisation, but the negative aspects of a sales-driven behaviour mindset that bled into the experience of the interview process. Whilst I appreciate the ethos of needing a certain type of person in a sales environment, they also wanted this in corporate roles that should be actively combating and balancing against the negative reviews on its work culture which I felt in the interview they weren't fully willing to unpick. Whilst I was unsuccessful due to "personality clash" which I respect, I think this is also indicative of a process and organisation still at an infancy stage of their lifecycle, with basic employee hygiene factors missing (no bonus plan, 0 flexible working for corporate/commercial roles) and only 20 days annual leave (only UK company I've ever applied for that didn't offer the standard 25 day+).
