Interview
I applied online through an internship website about a month ago and a week or so later I applied through LinkedIn. I got an immediate reply with a task to do.
The brief had two tasks in it and I had to complete them within 7 days of receiving it. I did the tasks exactly in 7 days and was waiting for a bit over than a week for their response back. I followed-up couple of times, but go no response.
Few days ago I received a negative answer, sadly. Taking into account the time I have spent into doing the tasks I only wish they were more clear as of why they chose not to proceed with me, not just sending me the regular "there were more suitable candidates..." email.
I followed-up to get a bit more clarification, but from my experience with trying to approach them, I do not think I will ever get an answer. Overall, the process ran mostly smoothly and looking back everything happened over the course of around 3 weeks.

Interview
Unclear on communication from the start, unfortunately.
After asking me if I was free on a certain time and day for an interview, I was sent a calendar invite for an interview on a different date. I emailed to try and clear up which one was correct, and never received a reply. I simply had to make sure I was available for both dates, which wasn't ideal.
I was interviewed by the CEO. She was about 14 minutes late onto the call and didn't offer an explanation or apology.
I successfully made it through the interview stage, and was invited to do a copy test, which I did within a day or two.
These tests take quite a lot of time out of our schedule with no renumeration, so I feel the least we as writers can expect is a reply to them, with feedback ideally.
I had to send several reminder emails over the next couple of weeks to chase my application, and then was met with a reply three weeks later about how I was unsuccessful, with no feedback about my copy test.
Disappointing experience overall.
