      Engineer Interview

      Nov 7, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Flexential in Nov 2017

      Interview

Overall it was good. Everyone for the most part was nice. Went through a 2 phone interviews and an in person. The in person was a bit tough because there were 3 separate interviews with numerous employees. They mainly wanted to see the culture fit and generally how smart I was. The only thing that I was not a fan of is that they log 45 hours every week and that time has to be logged. I'm sure it's not bad but work life balance is very important and I can see it being difficult to do that with mandatory work hours.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

mostly culture fit questions and asked about my previous experiences. they use alot of open source tools and devop tools so it is important to have worked with those. my experience I had not but I'm always open to learn. really smart group of guys tho.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Flexential in Jun 2011

      Interview

Getting hired was pretty simple. It just took a while after my drug test i submitted all my background info with the application. About 3 weeks later I got a call and I sent in my resume to Human Resources. I also sent in references and an extensive work history. As I haven't worked many places it was pretty simple. I had a phone interview which went well. The panel interview was pretty hard. They ask those kind of impossible no right answer kind of questions and they try to get you to doubt yourself. The last 2 interviews were technical and personality. Then I met with a manager. The process then sent me to an HR email where my offer was sent.
