I went in to the interview on a day off (a Tuesday). It was pleasant enough. When it was over, I thought it had gone very well and that I would be called back for the second round. The rest of the week went by, and I heard nothing. I wrote an e-mail on Sunday, repeating my interest in the position and asking for an update. Monday came and went, and still I heard nothing. I called and left a voice mail message the next Tuesday for the interviewer. Still no news. I called the next day and left a voice mail message again, requesting that she e-mail me. Still nothing. This sort of rude and unprofessional behavior is inexcusable. I did not initially contact her, she contacted me for an interview. There is simply no excuse for not writing even a short, curt e-mail response to a simple request. I've heard that a bunch of former employees jumped ship to start up a competitor. Now I have a good idea why.
