      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fuel Industries (Ottawa, ON) in Apr 2013

      Interview

Received an email back approximately 2.5 weeks after firing off my first email. Went in for an interview the following week. At initial glance the employees were hard at work and while they did not seem to hate what they were doing, most of them looked stressed and overworked. This was even more apparent when I was interviewed by the person in charge of taking over the interview after the basic HR questions. The interview went well and the questions were exactly what I would expect but the person giving them seemed so tired and felt like he wanted to be done with the interview as fast as possible. I was told I would be given a skill test within the following 2 weeks but they never did and I never received an email back regarding the status of my application. The environment itself seemed like a fun place to be in but there was this overall feeling that everyone there had been overworking themselves to death.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

None of the question were overly complicated. If anything they would subtly ask about which tools you are more comfortable using in order to find out your level of proficiency with it. You will also likely end up being asked how fast you can do certain kind of props and your ability to ramp up on tools fast. Most of the questions were fairly basic.
