Pros: The interview onboarding with the recruiting agency was great - the individual in question was very professional and straight to the point.
The first stage interview was with the line manager, great dynamic and questions, very focused on stakeholder management and problem solving skills.
The second stage interviews with two of the team members were also a positive experience and professional input - interviews questions focused on matrix management and influencing.
Cons: Although I find interviews with HR to be very useful in the recruitment process this was an unnecessary call which added no value.
The HR individual did not interview me but interrogated on my previous employer as she used to be in the same company. I was asked about who I knew, and everytime I would mention an example of achievement she would try to catch me on the name of the head of department and I knew this or this person.
Incredibly unprofessional and she didn’t reflect the companies culture or whatsoever. This encounter left a very negative impression from the company and clearly showed how I was prejudiced due to where I was previously employed.
In of my last interviews with a very senior individual I was asked if I would go back to my previous employer, considering I was unemployed at the time I responded yes. Later on I was told by the recruiter that they didnt want to hire me as I’m intending to go back to my previous employer if if they were to hire me I would be poached back.
Due to my interviews experience will no longer be applying for roles in this company.
