I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Google (Bengaluru) in Sep 2019
Interview
Google has a 3 step interview process, it was in September 2019 that I gave my google interview location: Bangalore , 1st and 2nd rounds went really well
1 st round was telephonic they are perfectly organised it went really smooth.
2nd round: I had a night shift in my office and due to Bangalore traffic I was bit late and called up the HR assigned for the second round and she took care of it by pushing it to next 1 he, there were 2 interviewers each about 45 min on the same day. They made me feel really comfortable and it was a 2 way communication it didn’t feel like I was being questioned it was more like putting our thoughts on to the table and discussing over it, it was a healthy discussion.
I had a really good vibe that I’m gonna be placed.
I received a mail for 3rd round and they asked me to give the interview from home I immediately mailed the HR who was assigned for 3rd round to change it to on-site interview as the interview was super important to me and but she asked me to contact a hr who is operating from India I called up the Indian HR but she didn’t respond after multiple emails so I had to take it from home.
My bad I screwed it up multiple factors like internet issues, distractions in the PG the interviewer wasn’t letting me finish my answer and she started giving me weird expressions 😅 I felt really bad about it which made me super uncomfortable.
I received a call from Indian HR informing me that I wasn’t chosen but the sad part is she didn’t give me a feedback though I asked for it (I know that’s their choice but I felt after spending 1 month in the process I deserved a feedback)
Maybe I’ll try for the position again, hopefully I get it this time :))
All the best and I really hope you get into google.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Google (Dublin, Dublin) in Dec 2016
Interview
After an employee referral, the first contact was a phone call with someone from the HR department, then another phone call with someone from Trust and Safety, a little bit more technical. After that, they paid for my travel to Dublin to have three interviews in a row on different subjects, both technical than behavioral.
