The interview process was informal and the owner is obviously very passionate about his dogs, but he spoke of past employees poorly… nothing was ever something he could take and improve on. And after seeing the responses to reviews from past employees, regardless whether the employees were truly in the wrong, just seems like a red flag to me and unprofessional. Especially calling them out by name. Would hate to be on the owners bad side. He had a lot of preferences on how he would like his dogs to be trained and while reasonable, he will make a lot of money on the sale of a puppy and pay you very little for your labor. The risk versus reward was not worth it.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Experience, methods, schedule, how many dogs at one time, etc
Very relaxed but he will judge you on your looks. If he doesn't like them, you won't get the job even if you are fully qualified. The working with the digs was wonderful but there was no actual training in the job. You are told to do things then figure it out.
