The interview process at Guru was incredibly informative, with lots of opportunities to better understand the role and, more importantly, experience the company culture. Everyone involved was engaging and helpful throughout, and it was evident that they valued their employer and took the responsibility of selecting a future teammate seriously while having a lot of fun with the process. The first interview, which occurred a couple of days after my initial application, was a phone screen with a recruiter who provided an overview of the company, the position, and the interview process. The second interview was also by phone, but this time with a member of the People Ops department. This was another chance to learn more about the position, with the questions being more specific to the required competencies. The third interview was an in-person session, with three segments: an interview with hiring manager, an interview focused on competencies (mine was with People Ops and VP of Business Development & Partner Success) and interview focused on culture (with two non-People Ops Guru team members). All of the interviewers asked great questions, and we're open to conversing about their experiences at Guru. And, to my delight, everyone was a lot of fun! The final interview was a more casual lunch about a week after the in-person session. It was nice to get to speak with everyone in a less formal setting, and it was great to see them all embody the Guru values I learned so much about throughout the application process. As promised, I received a final determination on my application within a few days of our lunch.
