I applied through college or university. I interviewed at HFL
Interview
The interview process was just like other corporations. A brief preliminary interview where they introduce more detail about the company & what they are looking for. They ask you about your professional goals and your leadership attributes. It is a one on one interview, everyone was very nice and professional. I was invited in for a second round interview where I was able to shadow an account manager for a few hours. They are looking for you to be interactive, I am not super outgoing so it was a bit difficult for me but I caught on. They go over the exact detailed pay structure and growth opportunity within this interview. Afterwards you have a short third round interview, hoping the account manager you shadowed only had good things to say. The only thing I would have done different is be more outgoing but I believe I made up for it.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked detailed questions about specific things your learned during your shadow, thankfully I had taken a few notes on my cell phone.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HFL
Interview
HR contacted me and asked me to come in for a preliminary interview. She was very nice and so was the hiring manager. It was very brief and I still didn't quite know what I had applied for, but the hiring manager told me I would learn all of that at the second interview. The second interview was a shadowing, and we also talked about compensation and the business structure. I was not impressed. Base pay is little to nothing, and the benefits are a bare minimum. No paid vacation or sick leave, if you're sick you have to make it up on your day off- which are Tuesdays and Wednesdays only, you work Thurs-Mon. Next was the shadowing and he set up a table in WalMart and tried to get people to buy DirectTV. When we got back to the office for the follow up interview, I asked them not to look at me any further. I felt very mislead, if I would have known I was doing cold retail sales I would have never applied. I wish they would have given more information in the job description and preliminary interview, not only have I wasted their time but mine as well. This job may be for some people but not for me.
