Standard HR screen call followed by a group interview of 5 people. The hiring manager lied about his camera being broken and I immediately shut mine off because it should be a bidirectional experience (not 1 way). All people in the group interview had their cameras shut off (which, to me, is a red flag). Nobody wants to show their face in this company - a very large red flag. After being hired, the onboarding process was a super complete mess and intentionally done by this 30-year HII hiring manager and other HII employees. He even bragged about causing an error, based on his own stupidity, in shipping the laptop to my remote location. Hiring manager also continued to attempt and pressure me to have me use my own equipment for processing company paperwork and attend several onboarding meetings, even after he was told not to. The mentality, the lies and the onboarding process seemed very ghetto and intentionally done to do damage to the candidate. I later gave up because of the hiring manager's weirdness, demands to use my personal equipment, lateness in company property to hold company onboarding meetings, and continued lies towards me. Worst onboarding I've ever seen in my +20 years of corporate work and the second worst isn't even close to HII. So many red flags from HII onboarding I lost count. I knew it would be a waste of time and the wrong move to pursue HII's offer. What a joke of an experience, and they are not even ashamed about it.
