Applied online, was responded to with an assessment which I aced. Received phone call next day (my birthday) asking for a face to face interview the following day. Gladly accepted knowing I would be a good fit as I have the odd skill set of managerial experience, operations experience, maintenance experience, hospitality experience and even bowling experience (bowled all my life and went to state 4 times - and am no schlub when it comes to troubleshooting Brunswick pinsetters and ball returns which I know they use at their facilities.) Seemed like a really great opportunity and a place where I could contribute at a high level.
Sadly called in the middle of a recorded video meeting with my current employer a couple hours before the interview to be told “Sorry we have to cancel our boss already hired someone and I didn’t know the position was filled.”
Very disappointing, and sounds like the location has communication issues and are cutting their candidate searches short. Or perhaps they didn’t feel a woman isn’t a good fit for a job with mechanical and repair responsibilities.
