I applied online. I interviewed at History Associates
Interview
I was stood up for my zoom interview. I had an interview set up a couple of years ago for a position that matched my research expertise. I knew the archives for the project like the back of my hand. After being stood up for the interview, I emailed my contacts twice and acknowledged that I understood if there was an error. No reply. So, I moved on. About a year later, the person they hired for the project began messaging me through my social media accounts for information on the archives and requested my unpublished work multiple times. I eventually told this employee of their company to read my dissertation- and now I'm seeing my research pop up on this person's social media without any citations. All of this makes me think this company is hiring inexperienced historians.

Interview
It was a skype interview, there were three employees involved in the interview. They asked a great deal about your process in the archives, researching and writing. The whole process only took a little over thirty minutes. It was a very casual process. The three people who interviewed me were all very nice. They also asked questions about previous research endeavors. Be prepared to discuss your past research experience and describe it in great detail You will be asked why you chose a certain topic, so be sure to have an answer prepared. Offer specifics.

After a successful phone interview, the HR manager invited me to Rockville for an in-person interview. This consisted of a group interview with two senior managers again, which lasted about an hour.
