The first phase of the interview was a 30-minute conference call via phone with two senior managers. They asked pointed questions about my historical research and writing experience. After a successful phone interview, the HR manager invited me to Rockville for an in-person interview. This consisted of a group interview with two senior managers again, which lasted about an hour. Received offer at the conclusion of the interview.

I was stood up for my zoom interview. I had an interview set up a couple of years ago for a position that matched my research expertise. I knew the archives for the project like the back of my hand. After being stood up for the interview, I emailed my contacts twice and acknowledged that I understood if there was an error. No reply. So, I moved on. About a year later, the person they hired for the project began messaging me through my social media accounts for information on the archives and requested my unpublished work multiple times. I eventually told this employee of their company to read my dissertation- and now I'm seeing my research pop up on this person's social media without any citations. All of this makes me think this company is hiring inexperienced historians.
