I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Hollister Co. (San Jose, CA) in Jul 2010
Interview
In my opinion, it's really intimidating to interview in a group. You don't want to copy answers and you don't want to sound stupid. Make sure you're prepared with original answers. This was my first interview EVER so I was really nervous and I got tongue tied a lot and I started spewing nonsense. It was embarrassing. Needless to say, I was declined the offer.
A common question asked in group interview settings is, “What does diversity mean to you?” It's a foundational topic that allows candidates to express their understanding of inclusion, equity, and respect for different perspectives. This question often opens up dialogue around how individuals value unique backgrounds, experiences, and identities in the workplace. It's not just about race or gender—it encompasses cultural, generational, and even cognitive differences. Employers use this to gauge how someone might contribute to a supportive and collaborative environment where everyone feels seen and heard.
The interview was a group interview but it was very easy. Everyone answered the same questions. I applied and was offered an interview within the same week. They choose who they like. Not difficult just don't be weird. There lost their sheen recently though so you should be fine if you don't fit the mold. Is there not 30 words yet this is ridiculous I don't know if I can trust this site
