Honda Australia interview questions

The actual interviews I am happy with, the panel asked about my experience and how I applied it in the workplace instead of cliche questions. After a series of interviews I was informed I was the selected candidate (fantastic!) but then after some silence I found out a senior manager over ruled and hired a friend for the role (who bypassed the recruitment process that was being used). The part I am not happy about is that the whole process took 6 weeks, many hours of preparation, multiple phone calls and trips. They should not have dragged out the whole process and wasted my (and possibly other candidates) time. No respect.
