Recruiter contacted me via cell phone quickly made reference to background and then immediately asked me my salary range. When I quoted the range the recruiter became irate and proceeded to state that my range was not valid. I stated that it was a range and that I was not in a position to provide a exact number considering that I had not met with the hiring manager.
