I interviewed at Illinois College Of Optometry (Chicago, IL)
Interview
Group interview with multiple optometrists asking questions about experience, background, areas of interest. Overall friendly interviewers with strong backgrounds in specialty optometry areas. Tour of the facilities and clinic rooms.
I was given 3 sessions of speaking to different employees who asked me different questions mostly about my education and experiences. I felt there was some tension between myself and the interviews as I was asked some questions I was not comfortable with.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Illinois College Of Optometry (Chicago, IL) in Jul 2010
Interview
Applied online and got an interview a couple of weeks later. First in-person interview was more than 2.5 hours long and consisted of basic interview questions. Nothing off the wall or unexpected. Interview was with the director and then with the position's counterpart. Got a call back a couple weeks later for second interview. Second interview was with the previous person who held the position and the head of the department, another 2.5 hours.
