The process started with JFrog reaching out to me for a communication role the company was apparently trying to fill for a while. The interview process started fairly professionally with a published schedule of six interviews: external recruiter, internal recruiter, an employee currently in the role they were interviewing for, hiring manager, CMO, and finally HR.
After interview #4 with the hiring manager, JFrog decided to add a second interview with the same hiring manager.
The process was supposed to end with a culture interview with HR after which the company committed to getting back with a decision within 2-3 days of the interview.
However, a week after the "final culture" interview, JFrog gets back with a request for yet another interview with the hiring manager. Note, this is now the third interview with the same hiring manager. I oblige partly owing to sunk cost fallacy. The hiring manager interviews me for the third time and asks the same questions he had during interview #1 and #2.
Finally, JFrog reverts with a verbal offer - with a lower title than what was in the job description and much lower compensation. Of note, I had reiterated my compensation expectation with the external recruiter multiple times during the process. Needless to say, I declined.
Overall, several red flags in the interview process so I cant imagine what working here would be like.
