      Sales Manager Interview

      Mar 4, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at JFrog in Jan 2024

      Interview

After submitting my resume, got a call from a coordinator who told me a bit about the role as well as asked me about my experience. Overall very nice and professional. Was scheduled an HR interview which was the complete opposite of my experience with the coordinator. The general feeling was as if i am being interrogated instead of having a mutual conversation where every side is sharing and trying to find out more about the other. That in someway the interviewer is looking only for negative aspects. She kept associating negative meaning to positive and even general things i said regarding my experience and my professional point of view. She used cliché interview questions that remind me of interviews i had a decade ago applying for a junior level customer representative and that the answer i can give is usually obvious and not genuine. Throughout the interview i had the feeling as if the interviewer is "against me" and whatever i say is twisted and purposefully misunderstood. I honestly finished the conversation feeling misrepresented, frustrated and confused, especially after the interview reviews I've seen here were quite positive. Jfrog - Try to have your interviewers trained in open conversation and genuine interest in the candidate and not give the feeing they are reading from a check list and bringing in their own emotion and bias during a professional interview.
