The whole process from beginning to an end took (dragged ) for 5 weeks. I had 3 interviews. Just standard interview questions off Google, (that's how it felt) not specific to the role or my past experiences.
In every stage at the end the interview, I ask the interviewer if he/she has any concerns regarding my skills and experiences that we just discussed, this normally gives me a good insight where I stand in the process. On the last interview with a team member and the team's supervisor, I asked the question to the supervisor, if he had any concerns, his response was" his only concern was that I came across too positive, and that could be an issue in his team." I was so bumbfounded, I could not even blink at that moment. However, to no surprise the next day I received an automated email letting me know that the position has been filled.
In hindsight, I am relieved that I did not get the job, as I am 100% sure working under someone who thinks being positive is an issue in his team, it's an issue itself. I wonder his response was underlying reason for the dislike of the colour of my skin.
I leave it there to make your judgement...
