It was a long and unique process . First there was an interview then a game and finally an assignment. It was pretty casual and not difficult. You don’t have to win the game just want to see your collaboration with others on team.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Jiva Consulting (Calgary, AB)
Interview
The interview began with a traditional / formal interview with two senior staff members. After that I had to research and write an assignment on a dinosaur! Then two of the newest staff members took me to lunch, and they answered a lot of questions about what it was like fitting into the culture and workplace.

Question 1
I can’t remember specific questions, but the interview is very focused on your values and past experiences. They want to make sure that your personal values are inline with the company’s values.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Jiva Consulting (Calgary, AB) in Nov 2016
Interview
Standard interview with 2 members of management. Very low pressure and honest atmosphere. A typical gamut of interview questions regarding experience, references, and future goals. They made it clear fairly early that there is an open workplace culture and they enjoy investing in the growth of their employees. They also like to hire people with diverse skill sets. Overall an enjoyable interview process, which is not something you hear about every day.
