Received an email to have an interview. The interview was an in-person interview with two more senior earthquake analysts. Most of the questions were straightforward about previous experience with seismic data and computing. All questions just asked how you qualified for this requirement of the position.

They were looking for C++ programmers who preferably had work experience with C++ builder (Embarcadero). Basic knowledge in geophysics and on concepts like FFT, interpolation schemes is a plus

Interview
Initial correspondence was very poor - not able to confirm documents were received etc. until after the application deadline. Very slow process, over a month before I interviewed. One interview. Panel, three people, interview. People were very courteous and showed interest in answers being given. Questions included scenarios, what would you do type questions. Results were given via phone which included ranking among total number of applicants.
