      Engineering Interview

      Apr 18, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Irvine, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Karma Automotive (Irvine, CA) in Apr 2015

      Interview

I was contacted by HR initially who asked me some few tech questions regarding my knowledge of softwares and also my availability. Later on, I was called on-ste for a technical interview with departmental manager at Fisker Automotive Costa Mesa which lasted for 45min.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Departmental Managers questions: So tell me something about yourself? What kind of modeling and design softwares do you know? Then ,She scanned my resume so thoroughly that I had to explain each and every work experience performed in detail. But since had a work experience in an automobile industry for a year, her focus of questions where 90% related to it. She asked me about the kaizen and improvements on a shop floor assembly which I answered quite satisfactorily and she was pretty much impressed. I had carried a list of documents including reports of work-ex and protect reports other than resume which complimented the interview process. I got the offer verbally and she was very flexible for me to choose the department of my choice. Next morning, I got a formal offer from the HR. Overall. the experience was quite exciting. I was awe-struck the moment I saw Fisker Atlantic and Surf right at entrance of the plant office.

      Engineering Interview

      May 31, 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Karma Automotive

      Interview

The first phone call interview was the screening round before they invited me into the office. This seemed pretty casual and was more of a chat. They'd already shown my resume to the engineering head and he'd agreed it was suitable enough for me to come in, so I suppose this was more of a test of fit/interest than ability. The caller then, at the end of the phone screen, let me know that a person from HR would reach out to schedule a time for me to come into the office to speak with the Senior Engineer.
