I was recently approached by an intern from the HR team at Ketto for their TA Executive position. The initial conversation went well, and I was informed that my profile would be shared with the team.
However, the follow-up was quite disappointing. Despite clearly stating that I would be open to moving forward if they could at least match my current CTC, I was offered less than what I was already earning. It’s unclear why the HR team would think underpaying a candidate is acceptable, especially after acknowledging my expectations upfront.
This left a negative impression of the hiring process salary discussions should be transparent, fair, and ideally take place after interviews, not before.
