I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Knauf Insulation North America (Albion, MI) in Oct 2021
Seated in large room with 2 interviewer across from me, was asked how I came across the opening, told them it was on indeed. Very relaxed interview, thought it went well...
- Why should they hire me

Very disorganized. Had 6 interviews with 12 different people only to be told they are going with internal candidate. Complete waste of my time. No need to push candidates to so many interviews if you have a qualified internal candidate.
- Job specific and STAR questions.

It starts with a phone screening, and then you get two panel interviews with various managers. They ask you about your experience along with behavioral questions. Overall, the interviews went well. The employees seem like good people, although a bit awkward at times. I got the impression that they weren't really prepared since awkward pauses from them were frequent. I even noticed one interviewer chuckling during these pauses because it was so obvious LOL! I personally didn't mind this since it was amusing to me. However, what really made this experience negative was the fact that their lack of communication. At first they made me wait a whole month to set up a 2nd interview, which I had to remind them about, and then when I got a date it got pushed backed. Once I completed the 2nd interview, I was notified in an enthusiastic manner that a decision would be made soon. It's been silence ever since, even after repeated attempts to reach out to them. At this point I have given up. I understand that most likely they went with another candidate but the lack of communication after giving me various positive hints was to put it nicely, upsetting. Especially during this dreary employment climate, where entry-level engineering jobs are scarce. Please communicate.
- Why is there silence right now?

Online application then video interview. The interviewer told me the salary before even starting the interview. The salary was lower than i expected. So it affected my interview. So I could not make it. Also the process was undertaken by a recruitment agency.
- tell me about a time when you got a negative feedback?

Hired as a temp so pretty quick not much really else to say just work many days a week and you’ll become full time really really quick takes 5 months to get in but if you work hard and they see that they’ll hire you in at 3 months
- How long is training on a Tag job

I have had several jobs over the years and this hiring process moved more quickly and smoothly than any I have ever experienced. I was contacted by the very knowledgeable talent acquisition manager within hours of submitting my application. I had a phone interview within 24 hours and an in-person interview a week later. The office was modern and tastefully decorated with lots of natural light and an on-site cafe & workout room. The dress code is business casual and jeans are allowed. Some were more dressed up than others. I had another phone interview the following week and an offer a few days later. All interviews felt very natural and conversational. Never felt like the interviewer was trying to trick me. I was able to get a really good feel for the role and type of person they needed. Overall, a great experience!
- If you had this position, how would you solve this problem (insert specific problems related to the role) ?
- Tell me about your experiences in (insert related content to the job opening).

Initial phone screen followed by an in-person. After the in-person, they would schedule another one. My interviewer no-showed me twice. Company has no respect for the interviewees trying to move up in their career.
- Insulation is boring. Are you OK with that?

A real waste of time. The VP wanted to hear only we're the best of the best, walk on water and anything less being able to move mountains made you unworthy. Being a top performer is not sufficient, but they don't realize being in this industry you won't get Wall ST or Silicon Valley types.
- Favorite - Why were you only 120% of plan in your last job? (meanwhile I was the only person above plan out of my entire national team...)

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Knauf Insulation North America (Shelbyville, IN) in Feb 2018
The interview and hiring process has been great. I have worked closely with The Christopher Group during this process and the people from the group have been very professional along the whole process. The interview process was very professional from the time I arrived at the Knauf corporate facility to the interviews at the Lanett plant. The second interview with the Lanett plant, I think was extremely helpful because I felt like it gave me more of a chance to get to know the managers at the plant and really discover what their needs were from HR and how I could better assist them in the needs that they have at this time.
- What was one thing they asked you to do?

I interviewed over the phone with a Knauf talent acquisition person and answered several questions, then came to corporate headquarters for KINA in Shelbyville for an in person interview. I interviewed with the Operations Manager, the Purchasing Manager, and a team of a Strategic Purchasing Manager and Capex Commodity Manager
- Everyone asked why I wanted to leave a large corporation for a family owned global corporation.
