I approached the GM about coaching at the facility then spent approximately two weeks shadowing instructors. I also spent several days with the GM reviewing proper form for each of the types of fitness training I'd be leading. Finally, I instructed several classes with the GM present. Once I completed all three phases I was offered a coaching position.
