Anonymous Interview Candidate
I interviewed at Kuehne+Nagel
I candidated two times to different teams. The process was pretty usual: a call with the Talent Acquisition Specialist, test task and meeting with the team lead. First interview went very well, I liked how Team Lead spoke of their team and the company, everything was perfectly fine. Unfortunately that time I didn't succeed, because they went on with more experienced candidate. Second time didn't go that well. Talent Acquisition Specialists were still very nice, but when it got to the interview with Team Lead and Product Manager. The interview itself was mainly overviewing my tasks and pointing out my mistakes, asking why I did this and how would I do it differently. They seemed pretty mean and constantly laughed at some mistakes or some of my unconfident answeres (even though I stated in the first place, that with some topics I have only learning experience and no actual work experience, so I won't get everything right). At some point I felt like I would like to end this interview, but for some reason I soldiered till the end. After the interview my first thought was that okay, maybe this isn't a good fit for me and I am not a good candidate for them. In about half an hour I got a call and the Team Lead said, that however my performance was not that good, they are "willing to give me a chance" and wanted me to accept/decline right away. Since I already wasn't thrilled by the process, I asked for two days to think and after a brief pause I got told that "ok, you can give your answer at the end of the week, but don't be upset if we'll find a better candidate to this role in this time". Needless to say that at that minute I made up my mind. Have to admit, that I ghosted the lead's call later that week. But at the same time wrote to Talent Acquisition Specialist, told my "no" and we talked over the phone about this experience. They were surprised and told me that they absolutely understand me. On the bright side, from their reaction I understood that this kind of behaviour is not quite okay for them and they commented, that "we will talk to the leads about this, thank you for letting us know".
- How would you do this task differently?

The interview process is in progress till now everything has been smooth. I feel the process is very professional but needs to be fast. Overall very good experience. Also apart from that to cut short the candidates and get the correct person there should be an online test which is as per the position so you can narrow down your candidates and expedite the process.
