Pros: The initial recruiter screening was personalized, and the early stages of the process moved quickly. The hiring manager interview was a positive experience, and I was moved forward directly after. The technical test was relevant to pipeline development, which I appreciated. Cons: Communication from the recruiter was inconsistent throughout. After initially reaching out, the recruiter went silent for over two weeks before responding, later citing PTO, though no out-of-office response was in place. After submitting my technical assessment, I was told to expect an update by the end of the following week, which was the last communication I received. Despite several professional follow-ups over the course of nearly three months, I have received no response or even a rejection. The job posting remains active as of this review. Overall: The role and the hiring manager interaction were genuinely promising, which makes the recruiter's lack of follow-through particularly disappointing. Candidates invest significant time and energy in the interview process and deserve closure regardless of the outcome. Ghosting after a completed technical test is unprofessional and reflects poorly on the studio's hiring process.
