Interview
Really bad experience overall, will never apply to work at Langara again. There was only one interview (no phone screen) that was 1 hour and it was a panel of 6 from the HR department and the union. Not one of the panel members was welcoming or inviting, the union representatives were both very rude - interrupting, snide tone, one didn't turn on her camera. One junior person from the HR department rolled her eyes and was clearly exasperated that she had to be on the call. It was clear that this interview was an inconvenience for everyone on the call and they were visibly annoyed. No one smiled the whole hour. The questions were also ridiculous in terms of determining an accurate assessment of my skills and past experience. The questions were emailed to me at the start of the call so that i could follow along - they were each a paragraph explanation and contained several questions within. The experience definitely turned me off of this company and the department. They didn't even bother to follow up to tell me that i was not selected.
it was nice and friendly. we went through the volunteer works I did and talked about my personality. Also I shared them my abilities and commitment. it was lasted for 2 semesters and I got award.
